  • The MTS ECA tabber and stringer from Mondragon is a highly automated system that can produce modules with high efficiency and consistent quality
  • Mondragon has received an order from Nithin Sai Renewables to develop a large-scale automated manufacturing line with a 500 MW installed capacity
  • The line will be used to produce modules with higher power ratings and expected to be fully operational by Q2 2024.

Mondragon Assembly promoted its individual module manufacturing toolsets as well as the total turnkey line during Intersolar. For separate processes, the company offers 2 models of tabber and stringer: the MTS 3000 and the MTS ECA. The latter is designed to work with electrically conductive adhesive (ECA) for the interconnection of HJT cells. For the lamination process, Mondragon offers a pad-press laminator as well as a membrane laminator.

The company also offers several other ancillary and automatic systems for glass loading, edge trimming, bussing, layup, and framing. During the Intersolar, the company announced that it had received an order from Nithin Sai Renewables Pvt. Ltd. to develop an advanced and large-scale automated manufacturing line in South India with a 500 MW installed capacity. The automated line is aimed at producing modules with higher power ratings (see Mondragon Bags 500 MW India Order)

This future-ready line, in order to accommodate different cell sizes and upgrades, is expected to be fully operational by Q2 2024. The partnership between Mondragon and Nithin Sai is also expected to support R&D initiatives.
