Calendar Week 28 for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index was another one with minimal movement, making for a 4-week trend of relative price stagnation. 

There were no price movements WoW for the polysilicon category; however, all products have seen price declines MoM, ranging from –3.9% to –5.6%. 

Wafer prices have been stable for 7 consecutive weeks, with no price changes seen since CW21. 

As with other products upstream, cell prices were flat WoW. 

Modules were the only product category to see price changes this week. PERC monofacial declined the least at –1.3% WoW, while PERC bifacial 182 and 210 were down -2.5% and -2.4%, respectively. 

Solar glass prices have remained stable since CW15 when the 3.2 mm (thicker) variant saw a 2.0% increase. 

While the last 4 weeks have been relatively stable, the TaiyangNews PV Price Index has seen considerable declines in CY2024. All Chinese polysilicon types have crossed the –40.2% mark YtD. Among wafers, the n-type 182 mm variant has lost exactly half its value YtD, at –50.0%. Cell prices have registered up to a –37.5% decline YtD, while modules have been relatively stable so far this year, losing only up to –20.6%.
