Acknowledging the growing demand for energy independence for solar-enabled North American homes facing grid instability and potential power outages, Anker Solix has come out with its latest Anker SOLIX X1 modular backup system.

The new stylishly crafted X1 model with its modular and scalable energy storage system coupled with advanced features, is aimed at providing a steady and sustainable power supply to smart homes in the USA, Mexico, and Canada during grid power outages. Anker says the new model ensures a wide range of customizable output power ranges of 3 kW to 36 kW with respective energy storage capacities of 5 kWh to 180 kWh. Its inbuilt energy-optimizing feature can juice out up to 5 % additional attainable generation from the independently operated batteries. The energy storage solution provider offers North America’s regional NEM 3.0 mode that allows optimal battery storage and export of additional power in the state grid according to NEM 3.0 jurisdiction. The company claims that along with high energy generation, its InfiniPowerTM Thermal performance features provide excellent thermal performance, which allows continuous power supply at 110 % rated output. Keeping in mind North America’s frequent extreme weather events, the Anker SOLIX X1 model with its wide operational temperature range of – 15 °C to + 55 °C without derating, is incorporated with a Storm Guard mode feature. The Storm Guard Mode predicts and prepares for potential grid outages, seamlessly shifting the X1 model to off-gird mode in less than 20 milliseconds in the event of a a blackout due to any extreme weather event like a storm, shared the company. It adds that this feature is also applicable to any extended grid outages, in which case the consumers can ensure 24 x 7 uninterrupted reliable power supply by forming a microgrid between the X1 model and solar panels. The company is offering a 10-year warranty for its NEMA Type 4 ingress protection (IP) rated battery modules or 16.5 MWh power generation, whichever comes first.
